Initiative Concept and B Corp Certification

The "Cowboy Circular" initiative: (Cowboy Circular) aims to give used electric bicycles a second life through a recycling program that seeks to resell refurbished bikes at reduced prices. Cowboy, a B Corp certified company, adopts this approach as part of its philosophy to promote sustainability and reduce environmental impact.

B Corp certification: is a label granted by the non-profit organization B Lab to companies that meet the highest standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and public interest. The company undergoes a rigorous evaluation process every three years to maintain this certification, ensuring its continuous commitment to improving its positive impact.

Refurbishment Process and Quality Assurance

The refurbishment process includes: a thorough inspection of the electric bicycle and all its components, and replacing any parts that do not meet the requirements with new original spare parts, including old batteries which are replaced with new ones. After that, the bike undergoes a comprehensive cleaning to ensure its quality.

The refurbished bikes come: with a two-year warranty, and the company offers free returns within the first two weeks of purchase. This process can be repeated several times to enhance the bike's life cycle.

Prices, Partnerships, and Commitment to Sustainability

The "Cowboy Circular" initiative offers: different bike models, such as C4 and C3, at prices 500 to 600 euros less than their original price as new bikes. Through this program, Cowboy seeks to make electric mobility more sustainable and affordable, especially with predictions that electric bike sales will surpass car sales by 2030.

Cowboy also launched: an exchange program with the Upway platform, where customers can sell their used electric bikes of any brand to Upway, contributing to the promotion of the circular economy and providing customers with an option to purchase new Cowboy bikes. These initiatives go beyond just selling bikes, representing Cowboy's commitment to sustainability across the entire supply chain.

Cowboy achieved: 89.5 points in the B Impact assessment, confirming its commitment to high social and environmental standards, and is the first electric bike brand to receive this certification. These efforts reflect Cowboy's vision to provide smart and sustainable urban mobility solutions.
