Using Spotify on Apple TV devices has become easier and more effective than ever. Spotify has launched a comprehensive update for its app on Apple TV, integrating many features available on mobile devices, such as queue management and lyrics display.

Audio Experience and Control Enhancements

The updated Spotify app for Apple TV also includes remote control capabilities via the Connect feature, addressing previous issues related to volume control. Additionally, users can take advantage of Spotify DJ, an AI-powered music guide that suggests the next content to listen to.

Video and Podcast Support

For video enthusiasts, there's another important update; Apple TV devices now support viewing podcast videos and allow adjusting playback speed for any video clips. This update comes at a strategic time after Spotify recently announced the availability of some of its podcast videos on Netflix by early 2026.

Music Video Feature and New User Interface

This update adds one of Spotify's latest innovations to Apple TV, the music video feature. Premium service subscribers, in the 97 markets where the feature's beta version is available, can select "Switch to video" for any song with a music video, and this feature works as seamlessly as the podcast tool.
