"60 Minutes" Leaks: CBS Censored Trump's Crypto Deal Fury and Billionaire Pardon
Details of CBS's Deletion of Clips from Trump's Controversial Interview

The Unseen Details of Trump's "60 Minutes" Interview Edits
Recent leaks revealed that CBS deleted an important segment from the "60 Minutes" interview with former President Donald Trump. This segment showed Trump's angry reactions to questions concerning a massive cryptocurrency deal worth $2 billion, which the Trump family reportedly struck with a billionaire who later received a presidential pardon from Trump.
This prominent incident was not broadcast in the 28-minute televised version, nor in the extended 73-minute version published online. It is worth noting that the full transcript of the interview, containing the charged exchange with interviewer Nora O'Donnell regarding cryptocurrencies and corruption allegations, is available exclusively on "60 Minutes Overtime" (60 Minutes Overtime).
Additionally, CBS also removed Trump's suggestion to remove a part of the interview where he boasted about receiving a payment from "60 Minutes'" parent company, stating: "Actually, 60 Minutes paid me a lot of money. You don't have to put this in, because I don't want to embarrass you."

Investigation into Trump's Ties with the Cryptocurrency Billionaire
At the conclusion of the interview, which took place at Mar-a-Lago, interviewer Nora O'Donnell asked Trump if she could pose two additional questions. When asked about the individuals he had granted pardons to, O'Donnell focused on cryptocurrency billionaire Changpeng "CZ" Zhao, who had been released from prison after pleading guilty to money laundering charges.
According to The Wall Street Journal, Zhao allegedly previously struck a $2 billion deal with the Trump family's cryptocurrency venture, known as "World Liberty Financial".

Trump's Reaction to Corruption Allegations and Shifting the Conversation
While a portion of Trump's responses concerning "CZ" was aired in the shortened televised version, his subsequent angry reaction was not included. When O'Donnell returned to ask him if he was concerned about corruption allegations due to his family's ties to "CZ," the transcript revealed that the President appeared annoyed and attempted to shift the conversation toward the cryptocurrency sector.
Trump stated: "We are leading globally in the cryptocurrency field... That is my only interest. I don't want China or any other country to take it over. It is an industry of immense importance." For its part, World Liberty Financial denied any involvement in the pardon issue.

Details of Paramount Lawsuit Clip Deletion
Similarly, CBS did not broadcast another segment where President Trump boasted about his victory in a $16 million lawsuit against Paramount (the parent company of CBS). The lawsuit concerned what Trump described as a deceptive edit of a previous interview conducted with Kamala Harris.
A settlement in this case was reached in July, prior to Paramount needing FCC approval for its proposed $8 billion merger with Skydance Media. As part of the settlement agreement, CBS agreed to publish full transcripts of the interviews with presidential candidates after they aired.
