Sony Launches Cloud Gaming Service on PlayStation Portal

Service Launch: Sony has officially announced the launch of its advanced cloud gaming service on the PlayStation Portal, a remote play device designed to extend the PS5 gaming experience. This launch follows a successful beta testing period that began last year. Starting today, PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers will be able to enjoy streaming a wide range of digital PS5 games from their personal library directly from Sony's cloud servers, eliminating the need to connect to or even turn on their PS5 console. • At Launch: Thousands of PS5 games will support cloud streaming, including prominent and anticipated titles such as Astro Bot, Borderlands 4, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Fortnite, Ghost of Yōtei, Grand Theft Auto V, and Resident Evil 4.
• Game Catalog: Furthermore, users will be able to stream hundreds of compatible games directly from the cloud through the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog and the Classics Catalog, including games like Cyberpunk 2077, God of War Ragnarök, Hogwarts Legacy, Sword of the Sea, and The Last of Us Part II Remastered.
• Massive Library: A comprehensive list of over 2000 games will be available for cloud streaming immediately at launch, offering a massive library for players.

Successful Beta Phase

Test Results: The beta phase for cloud gaming on the PlayStation Portal last year was limited to PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers only. This test paved the way for the official launch, confirming the device's capabilities in providing a seamless streaming experience.
