DockKit Technology: DockKit is an Application Programming Interface (API) introduced by Apple with iOS 17, allowing accessory manufacturers to integrate robotic mounts and smartphone stabilizers with various camera applications. This technology enables the stabilizer to independently and precisely track and follow subjects through the native iPhone camera app and over 200 other iOS apps, providing superior flexibility and a smooth, efficient shooting experience, ensuring the subject remains in frame and in focus.

Familiar Design: The "Osmo Mobile 8" retains the same integrated tripod legs and a telescopic extension rod that extends up to 8.4 inches, features that were present in the "Osmo Mobile 7" model. This practical design facilitates capturing shots from low angles and provides additional flexibility for users.

Improved Module: The new device also features the same Multifunctional Module available in the "Osmo Mobile 7." This module attaches to the side of the magnetic phone clamp, which is now stronger and more secure to ensure a firm grip. Additional Features: The module includes an integrated LED fill light and acts as a wireless receiver for DJI wireless microphones. It can also intelligently track objects and keep them within the frame by controlling the stabilizer's movements, regardless of the camera app used. Pet Tracking: DJI has upgraded the module's tracking capabilities to include tracking dogs and cats, adding a new dimension for users filming their pets.

Battery Life: The battery life of the "Osmo Mobile 8" remains rated up to 10 hours, providing extended usage time for photographers. Stability Enhancements: The device retains features from its predecessor, such as the integrated tripod legs and the 8.4-inch telescopic extension rod, enhancing ease of use and shooting from various angles. Furthermore, DJI has added a counterweight support to ensure the stabilizer remains perfectly balanced, even when using a smartphone with a large lens or attaching bulky additional accessories.
