Donors Outraged as Funds for "Expose Charlie Kirk's Critics" Vanish: Suspicions of Fraud

MAGA-aligned Site Vanishes After Fundraising and Exposing Charlie Kirk Critics

The MAGA-aligned site, which urged its supporters to fund a database to expose Charlie Kirk's critics, collected tens of thousands of dollars in cryptocurrency and then disappeared, sparking outrage among donors.

The site, named "Expose Charlie’s Murderers," was launched hours after the assassination of the 31-year-old right-wing influencer in September. It promised to create a searchable repository of names and workplaces for "the biggest firing in history," according to a review by "Drop Site" of the now-offline project.

"Drop Site News" reported that the site listed six cryptocurrency wallets and collected over $30,000 between September 12 and 14 before repeatedly disappearing, then reappearing as "Charlie Kirk Data Foundation," and then vanishing again.

"Drop Site News" stated that the group called itself "Anon Palantir" and published 41 entries—screenshots of posts written by people who mocked or criticized Kirk—before the effort collapsed.

One MAGA-aligned X user said, "I want my donation back!" Others expressed their anger, calling the group "liars" and "scammers."

Those targeted said they faced a flood of threats and complaints at their workplaces.

In Oregon, a local school board chair resigned on October 7 after writing that she "would not mourn" Kirk, later telling "Drop News" about the "horrific and terrible" harassment she received.

Charlie Kirk, a prominent MAGA influencer, was fatally shot at a Utah Valley University event on September 10, triggering a wave of grief among conservatives, far-right conspiracy theories, and posts aimed at inciting anger.

This included claims of foreign bots amplifying the incident and right-wing figures exploiting the assassination.

The site targeting Kirk's critics leveraged this anger, boasting "63,648 requests," but only publishing a few dozen entries before its domains—registered via Namecheap and later Epik—were withdrawn or dropped due to false registration data and denial-of-service (DDoS) attack threats, according to "Drop Site."

A third site, registered under "Franklin Heard" in a Spokane office building used by several companies, disappeared. Neither the project nor its listed contacts responded to "Drop Site's" inquiries about the fate of the funds.

The cost to secure a memorial for Charlie Kirk amounted to $2.6 million for taxpayers.

Calls for Calm and Follow-up on the Investigation

Officials appealed for calm as the investigation into the September 10 shooting progressed, warning against retaliatory "doxing" campaigns targeting Kirk's critics.

"The Daily Beast" contacted the project operators and listed registrants for comment.
